phpbb has emails sent to recipient username

I want to have that email sent to my email first, and then user has to click on the confirm link first.

I need to be able to input my links .

and then email link is clicked to confirm, after that.

But, as soon as I click on any link, I go to a different page that does not have my email in it.

It's probably just a simple modification here or there,.
I need phpbb to do that.

Hello,

there are several way to accomplish what you are looking for. Since your forum seems to be an unaltered prosilver, you could try Prosilver special edition, which resembles phpbb.com. Or you can change your existing prosilver to a fixed width.

As for the ads: there are many topics about this, just search for them (hint: try the keyword "skyscraper").

Thanks Balint. but the email still had to be sent to username with a link, that the user clicks to confirm.

Can anything be done about this?

For anyone still following this:

the email sent to recipient username has a link in it, that the recipient username must click on to confirm.

Ahhh, that's it.

but the email was redirected again, and I did not want that.

Help? but I Figured it out, so that user can just click the confirmation link in the email.

just FYI, the closing < /body> tag is the next to the last thing in the overall_footer.html file with the last being the closing </ html> tag.
