1. I installed it without any problem.

3. Blue stripe on side of the map is blue again, I guess I forgot to refresh themes.

Hi ostridm,
Thank you for the new version. I have to say, you developing it faster than I'm able to install it .

Anyway, here is some feedback for version 1.0.2:

1. New version - the MOD shows (on main map) that there is a new version even if I have new version installed.

2. POIs in reply - I can add POI created in reply into main map and topic map, but it seems, that I can't add it into forum map.

3. Options bar above main map - now you can select (above map - on the left side) what POIs you want to see on map (featured topics, all topics etc.) and you can also choose map provider (above stripe with POIs). I think it would be better to change sides of those options, so map provider will be above map and POIs selector above stripe with POIs.

4. What would you think about fourth option, when you can show POIs on the main map by forums. I think it gives a sense, because POIs in forum usually have something in common (location (USA, Europe stc.) or subject (cinemas, shops etc.)

1) this is a bug, i've fixed it - please re-download archive and copy mod files from archive root/*.* over the previous ones, No AutoMOD, No db install

2) it is possible but view forum script has its own pagination line and thus it prevents me from placing second one to paginate map content. Now i limit the POIs count by topics count if I will try to dump all the forum POIs to single page it may (and will) kill the browser of course if count is 3-5K. But it may happen. Thus this behavior just to keep user happy.

3) Ok.

4) Good, I think there is a place for tagging system because forums impose one to one relationship. But as a limited solution - forums is good idea. I do not promise this functionality in the nearest time but who knows... the future?

2. I thought about the option "show the POI on forum map?" similarly as you can choose to show them on main map so there will not be all POIs from whole forum. I didn't check all permissions in your MOD, but it can be permission based to put POIs on different map than default.

it seems tag system much more interesting. POI will not be bound to forum anymore and you will be able to organize tags as you want. look at this

Here tag system is being tested at my live board (unfortunately it is in russian) but you can find 'featured' tags at maps upper right corner and the others below the map. Active tag is always placed above map and highlighted green.

Also i introduced HTML output of POI content to mod front page for google and other search bots of course it can be switched off in ACP.

I think this is great idea (and no worries about russian). Only think I don't like too much is that there are some tags above map and some tags under map. I would prefer to have it on the same location. I mean you can't have all tags visible, but there can be (for more tags) dropdown menu, AJAX or popup window.

Also, it would be nice (I guess) to make users to use preferred (or predefined) tags first and if they don't find tag they want use on a list, they can insert their own tag. Otherwise there will be plenty of similar tags (shop, shops, store, market etc.). I believe that users can add tags themselves.

You are right. I'am hosting a board with quite immature users. There will be a mess if i allow them to create tags. Admin, and only Admin can create tags. But there are 3 system tags (to support compatibility to older versions), which admin cannot control via ACP.

The tags above map is 'featured' i.e. most interesting in admin opinion, and the one active (being browsed), all the other tags are below the map.

You can create special tag named 'to be sorted' for example to indicate that existing tags collection needs to be extended.

My board is small, but will not be too difficult for admin to add tags to all POIs on big board?

added a bit of jQuery magic, huge, map covering pull down tag list, just click 'Еще ↓' link in the top right corner. I' am going to allow admin to switch off all 'featured tags' and thus show in the top right corner active tag and 'more' link.
