First of all, many thanks for your great work !

Then, a critic point of view I think a complete CMS should have a news system, and there's nothing to do such a thing with cBB Blockgets. Do you think your MOD could integrate an add-on in order to display news from a blog MOD (such as : viewtopic.php?f=70&t=2146085 or viewtopic.php?f=70&t=2104706 for example) ?

Well, I don't know if it could have a sense with cBB Blockgets or these "blog" mods, but if we can have a chance (by template modifications ?) to choose how to display the articles it should be perfect ! (for example : last article could use full main content width, the others could be half-sized...)

Hi, updated fine from original cbb portal

I have found something that i know is part of the setup but was wondering if there is a way round it.

I run a gaming forum and have many usergroups for certain games, i recreated several news blocks (simple_news_blocks) with the intention of allowing certain usergroups to see certain news blocks BUT iv noticed they have to be set to that usergroup by default before the block shows up, i have forum moderators who are set as global mods, changing there default would mean they no longer have mod powers, which means i would have to go and give each mod individual permissions, thats just to much work, is there a way round this where members DONT have to be set to that usergroup by default but the block can still be visable only to that group???

Also, forgot to add, this is my Simple News Block, the coding is very crude, im a copy n paste type of guy, there is a lot of unused code but it works as intended. The latest topic goes to the top and only shows unread?read icons as dont know how to get it to show any others, and when you click topic it takes you to first unread post. The block can be collapsed as per original news block.

It's complicated to do that.
To make a "fix" would have to know every "id" of the blocks to which set permissions and "id" of the group and introduce a change in the archives.

I think to change the permissions of each block is easier to do all that.

Although you have given me an idea for the next version. Applying permissions to several blocks at once.

Thanks, any idea what code in the news block i would need to change to have it viewable by a certain group only? I dont mind changing one block but i just need to know where to start..

Well, it's a very great work to my mind ! I think I'll use it for my main website, especially if you can add an addon for a blog MOD (with news and categories system)

Hi here,

I've done the first French translation for cBB Blockgets 1.0.x At the moment, the 2 files into contrib folder (readme_fr.html and install_fr.html) are not fully translated but all the language folder files are 100% done, you can add it into your package !

I hope it could help this great MOD, we make a very great work with cBB Blockgets

If you mean whether or not both mods can be installed at one time, yes. I have both the rep system and this mod.
