Quicktime Files and iPad Problems

Post by sbafta » Sun Mar 03, 2013 11:44 pm

Greetings All;

In the forum I manage (phpbb version 3.0.11), a member will post a Quicktime file in a post that will force users using an iPad to be logged off automatically. The Quicktime file is placed inline.

What can I do to correct the problem?

Please advise. Thank you.

iPad is too vague (which version, which browser in which version). Have a read on mp3 attachments in iOS Safari.

The problem is probably not my English but you do not want to understand correctly.

Thanks AmigoJack;

One member is using iPad 2 iOS 6.0.2 and I'm using iPad 4 iOS 6.0.2. The browser is Safari. From the thread you linked, looks like I need to talk to Apple. It looks like the iOS is not handling the QuickTime files right.

If you have any ideas, please let me know.

Thank you for your reply.

Like described in the topic: try an alternative internet browser (i.e. Opera).

Good one AmigoJack.

The file can be played but its different how it handled using Opera.

I'll tell the other member about Opera.

Thank you.
