Mod will be released around April. Codes are done but I don't do UI designs well so it takes time.

Bugs found : Not compatible with Posting form MOD.

Gonna keep an eye on this. I already have a custom form mod (NOT Appforms) installed on my board but it was abandoned several months ago. Perhaps I will change to this one when it's ready.

Can you tell me the name/Specifics of the MOD you have? I might be able to customize, edit and improve the MOD I'm working on right now.
I'm thinking of making forms for different forums. Posting forms need LOTS of manual coding to customize exactly to one's own forum so I'm trying to make things easy and fast.
1) for game forums
2) For business forums
3) For Warez/sharing etc Forums
4) Programming forums
I'll be dividing the forms in to categories and distributing them as add-ons.

It's this one: viewtopic.php?f=434&t=2162851

the most popular suggestion, I suppose, would be to create different forms for different sections (forums). That is what Appforms lack but Customizable Forms has.

Maybe you could even add API support?

Yes. I already have that feature for this MOD. It was implemented at Version 1.0 alpha.
All forums can be manually configured to add different forms to each forum.
But I don't think I'll be implementing the PM form because it doesn't match the point of this MOD. But I'll be releasing that in a different version of the MOD.
This mod is different as it only appears when it is summoned. A button "form mode" will appear on the bbcode bar for easy switching.
One unique feature is the aeterisk. All forms marked with the aeterisk must be filled in or the submission will return a warning.

Will keep improving it, thx.

;D
Would the use of API be linked to the users game account?
If it does, things can get complicated. First there would be too much load on the server. I'd say at least 0.1~0.5 on a 2.5 ghz monocore cpu. Considering the form would load every time a person tries to post, it could turn out to be a cpu hog. Second, i would not know how the persons account is integrated into the forum so that can be a problem.

I think you misunderstood my idea, or I misunderstood your question. :P
The API's I'm linking too pull data from the respective sites.

Right now I'm using a imdb mod. We type in the imdb ID of a movie in bbcode tags and all the data is pulled automatically.

The use cases you listed got me thinking how sweet it would be to use a form to enter only the title or ID of a movie/game/song and then use the API's to pull all the descriptions/covers/ratings ect. If it was possible to add all the data pulled to the local database, it would only need to be pulled on thread creation and on edits/updates. :)

OHHH
Sorry misunderstood.
I thought It was about pulling user rankings/points etc from game servers;;;;;
Yeah, I might be able to do API. Game or music alike, all is possible.
