Migrations were set up to automatically revert as much as possible when the extension is purged; it runs through the list of install instructions on uninstall and attempts to do the opposite wherever possible.

It has access to the config class for any need it may possibly have, but a migration should not have to often specify deleting a config variable (in > 90% of cases at least).
