Hello,

Do you plan to style dovelop in the future and upgrade it to a newer version of phpBB (RC5)?

It already is compatible with RC5. It's under continuous development, as you can see from the commits https://github.com/PayBas/style-PBTech/commits/master

I love this style, just been playing with it and when 3.1.0 goes live this will be the default style for my live Forum.

A couple of questions, would it be possible, or easy for someone like me, to add a background image? Or maybe to change the background colour?

One thing I've spotted , the style doesn't seem to handle categories inside categories . As an example I have my main categories on the main page and all seems fine. One such one is a Modelling category, inside of that I have a video category and within that there are Forums.

Now when I go into the Category for modelling the category I have called "Videos Section" doesn't show but all the Sub Forums show along with everything else. What it should look like when you first click inside the main section is another list and the top one should be "Videos Section" instead all the separate Videos Forums are on view.

Not sure if any of that makes sense, I can't post a link because it's a modelling Forum so wouldn't be appropriate. But in short Categories inside Categories aren't working as they do in Pro Silver. Not sure if you are aware and working on it already but I thought I'd flag it up

I'll have a look and experiment. But I'm not sure exactly what you mean. I was hoping to submit this to the CDB very soon after 3.1 launch. But if there are serious bugs I will delay of course

Hi PayBas,

Today phpBB Spain update to 3.1 and the new style is PBTech (I like the style).

My question is, the style works in phpBB RC6 (tested in test site) but it's stable?

Best regards.

I wouldn't say it's a serious bug really, its easy enough to get round.

I probably didn't explain it well. I'll try and find a better example.

Let's assume a Forum is an Entertainment Forum with three main parent categories of "Television" "Movies" "Music". In Television section on the main page you may have "British TV" "American TV" "European TV" . So that's your main page. But inside the "British" category you may want to split again with categories. For example you may want "Comedies" "Quiz Shows" "Soaps" "Dramas" all as sub categories inside the "British TV" section.

What I have found is that in this situation when you open the "British TV" category the sub categories of "Comedies" "Quiz Shows" etc wouldn't be visible only the Forums inside those categories. I am happy to PM you the link to my Forum if you want to have a look at what I mean.

Yes please. Or send me 2 screenshots. 1 showing your forum on prosilver, and 1 showing PBTech (so I can see exactly how the style looks in your situation).

Yes, it's stable. I'm not claiming it will be bug free, but you can definitely use it on a live board.

If you upload a language file that has the 'DIRECTION' defined as "rtl" this theme will work perfectly with rtl languages.

give it a try, I tried and was very happy with the results.

If you want to test it on the default "en" language open common and change direction to rtl.

It's because I only recently started supporting RTL ;).

Should work pretty well now.

Works perfectly on 3.1 gold and all my forum members think this style is awesome. I have installed the abb3 extension, this intergrates with out issue.

Excellent style! Thank you :)

The style has been released. It may take a while for it to be validated in the phpBB.com customisation database.

So in the mean time, get it here: https://github.com/PayBas/style-PBTech/releases/
