Need some advice on PHPBB3 and internals for converting from

Hi Folks.
I'm moving a Vanilla forum over to a PHPBB3 forum. I'm not a PHP developer however I have had a lot of programming experience in other languages and I'm also a MySQL DBA

I've found the following in the Forums
Import Users using CSV
Import Messages using XML

I can run multiple scripts once I have the basics to add user avatars, addresses, and other details.

I have not found anything re Importing Topics, or Private Messages. If anyone has some scripts that I can use or modify (I can atleast do that ) then can you point me to them.

I am also puzzled on how the ACL works incase I need to do a group permissions updates on Users/Topics etc.

Many many help for any advice you can give me.

Ummm ... this does topics as well

Import Messages using XML

You may be may be able to modify one of the numerous Available Convertors rather than running numerous scripts to convert parts.
