Manual Convert Dragonfly 9.0.6

Post by 0be1968 »

I have recently taken over a different CMS fourm and do not have complete access to the server for all the files, but have a database dump file. I am trying to convert 14 years of data from Dragonfly 9.0.6 to phpbb 3.0. I initially tried to import the database dump using phpmyadmin and the file bombs out (it is mysql 4.1) into mysql 5.0.

I thought that Dragonfly was a dead product and found out otherwise. So I attempted to download the software and install it on my host which has been unsuccessful as well. So I tried to load it on xammp locally and still could not get it to work.

My questions are this. 1) is there some secret I am missing and a way to manually convert the data since the dragonfly convertor will not work (because I cannot get dragonfly to work on the server to have them side by side). 2) Could I convert the dragonfly data to flat files and import that way? 3) Could I convert / import table by table the data somehow?

I hope someone can please shed some light on the matter as I am unsuccessful thus far and would really like to continue using the data, however under phpbb.

Thanks...

Yes, I have.

There is a issue related to my old database collation (latin_general). I get a SQL error cause my database have accentuation.

Now I am trying again with another database configuration. Let's see....

Thanks

After a few minutes and some updates I got the error:
"This webpage is not available"

on this URL

/install/index.php?mode=convert&sub=in_progress&tag=dragonfly&current_table=14&skip_rows=165055&language=en

Return to “[3.0.x] Convertors”
