if the simple Q&A is doing the job then why would you want to have to install some MOD and make it more complicated than it has to be for you and your members.

Personally I just want to try it out, see if it actually does work, as it's now just a check box for the majority of users. (as I understand it)

Correct. It probably checks things like how the button was clicked, IP address, http headers, etc to determine if they are a spam bot. If they look suspicious, then they are shown a captcha like normal. For most people not on VPNs or Tor will just have to check the box and be done
It would be nice to see phpBB update to the new captcha in it's official implementation as it doesn't seem to do any harm, and if Google keeps refining it, then it's only bound to get better.
*This is an extension NOT MoD, tested on 3.1 NOT 3.0
*Please disable cache before you proceed
1. unzip chainizone.zip, it should create a folder named chainizone
2. inside chainizone folder, go to styles folder, change the name of folder 'V1' to your style name
3. copy the entire chainizone folder into ext folder of your phpBB board
4. in the ACP go to `Customise -> Manage extensions`
5. click its `Enable` link to enable 'Recaptcha2'.
6. go to 'General' -> 'Spambot countermeasures'
7. choose 'Recaptcha2' from the dropdown list
8. click the config button to input the public key and secret key (you can get these 2 keys from Google)
9. submit

Reason:Link removed. Please don't hijack someone else's MOD topic to publish an Extension.
As per the above, the 3.0.x MOD Request forum is not the place to post a 3.1.x Extension. The author needs to follow the appropriate procedures to post his Extension.
Not here very much, but I still appreciate you | Former Community Team
Would love to implement the new "No Captcha reCAPTCHA" from Google on my 3.0.X forum. Any developers working on a MOD for this (not a 3.1.X Extension)?
