just an update for everyone...

one of the controller files are pretty much finished. one more left to get done and this is due to Salox helping to port them. thank you :D

next when the other file gets ported, i just need to make sure everything gets along and get some bugs sorted as i'm sure there will be some.

as soon as i get it working solely as an extension, i will set the version and provide a download so people can do some testing of their own :D

Hi there,

Just a short question.
Do you think this chat' could be compatible with the style PBtech from author Paybas ?
And if yes, I use the abbcodes for our future forum, does this chat' will work with its extension ?

Thanks a lot for the answers to come :)
Good job, exactly the chat' we are searching for :)

this chat is compatible with prosilver based styles. it's possible that parts of it might need to be tweaked for it to look correct depending on how the style is designed.

as for the abbcodes, i do not use that extension so i cannot say if it will work or not

Thanks for your answer :)

And do you plan a beta (or maybe rc1 ?) using github soon ?

i do plan a beta as soon as i get it completely converted to an extension... the download will not be from github as i will host it from my own server.

the conversion process is a little slow as i'm getting help for parts i'm not able to do myself but progress is steadily being made and my guess is that we are about 90% complete to getting a beta out. we have the bbcodes and smilies loading, the online list functioning, font colour hold cookie is getting set on the client side. we are working on getting it to talk back and forth with the DB. it takes time and we have not been working on it for very long.

finally have the UCP tab finished and working. updated first post with screen shot :D

still working on getting the controller to work correctly with the js. messages can be sent but a page reload is required to see the new messages.

delete function is working
avatars are working
font colour hold is working
smilies and bbcodes are working
respond to user is working
who is chatting is working
auto update messages is NOT working <---- probably the most important part

but it's making progress and i'm hoping to have a download available soon :D

forgot to mention, this is working on phpBB 3.1.3 and so far works with all prosilver based styles ;)
