I tested it with Firefox and didn't have any problems. In IE it gave the described results.

I'm thinking it is a setting within IE. I'll look around and see if I can find the answer.

I tested this behavior on my board and can't duplicate the results. It may be caused by a server setting on your end.

Oh weird, you're right, it happens with some browsers only.
I tried IE, it has the problem.
Used Netscape, no problem.
Hmm.... what can this be?

I'm leaning towards an actual server setting. It most likely isn't the board script since I can't seem to recreate it with IE on my own board.

I've got exactly the same problem after moving my forum to another server.
As with jip78's forum, it's doing it with IE and it's working perfectly with Firefox.
Any suggestion ?

Well, mine doesn't do that anymore... not after I installed the Attachment MOD last night. I assume you have MODs installed as well.
I bet a fresh forum will not show this problem.
I have not and will probably not figure out what MOD made my search do
weird things.

But if you guys figure it out, let us know.

I'm sure you have mods like me. I believe the standard forum will
not do this.

Your website is cool too, but too bad I cannot understand it! :D

Yes, i have some mods installed. And as you say, a fresh forum propably would fix it. But it´s gotta be some way to fix it anyway.

Did this happend to you after moving your forum to another server? Like it did for me and mortimer2? If that´s the case, maybe we can try to find out if/wich mod or mods we all have installed. (going to find out wich mods i have installed and post them here later).

I looked in to mortimer2´s forum and he still got this problem aswell.

I really think this can be solved somehow. Is there anyone else that don´t think it´s a mod causing it, or have any other suggestion that can help us out with this, plz let us know.

BTW, when i moved my forum it was from mySQL3x to mySQL4x, maybe it´s a database issue??. Just trying to find out if we all (hrm, don´t know the english word) "have one thing" ....hope you understand what i mean ;)

I searched a bit more and find out that it seems to be the apache2 server that causes the problem, take a look at this: http://www.phpbb.com/phpBB/viewtopic.ph ... 40#1298240
