At this point, it's almost worth the work to register phpbbrefugees.com and throw up support for the older versions (including 2.0.x) since at some point phpBB4 after a release would go EOL and so on.

That's because I just registered it. .........I'm kidding. I will admit the thought crossed my mind to look it up. :D

I wonder if it would be just as good to purchase phpbbrefugees.org . It is not a commercial venture. It doesn't need a .com domain.

Edit: Meant org not net. Net is taken too.

I brought one of those and have a site up, though it is still a massive work in progress. It runs a far newer version of phpBB than I wanted, but all well.

Not since early last night, before you got your forum up.

How am I supposed to know you were planning to obtain the domain and set up the site?

Edit: We set up our sites within minutes of each other: https://phpbbforever.com/viewtopic.php?t=1 (url unparsed since this is not for SEO)

Sorry, I wasn't trying to be rude if it came across that way.

Feel free to continue if you wish. 😉

I changed my name from admin to [Dimetrodon]. I have no idea what happened there, though the board is otherwise functioning normally.

I think it is an odd side effect of one of the extensions I am using, tbh.

Just a suggestion but put a disclaimer in the footer you are not officially associated with phpBB.
