You can see the folder on the composer.json and also on the download page at the voice installation.

I don't understand why the package isn't correct.

I do like the whole concept of “Limit for guests” and this ext seems to work fine, to test it you just have to set it to 1 topic and (in a different browser logged out) after that the message shows from Brunino which is fine, this prevents the guest seeing any further topics for 1 year (default) and invites guest to Register but I am thinking of changing the wording to
“SITE POLICY: Guests are permitted a limited amount of topics to browse but these forums require PARTICIPATION as a fundamental component to providing discussion. Without participation these forums cannot operate, so please participate by adding your views/ questions/ answers to any of our topics. “

I don’t know what spurred Brunino to create this ext but I suspect it is the same thinking as mine, without participation...... forums sink, and there are way too many people who are happy to sit there reading without any intention of contributing at all, this is selfish and this ext addresses it (at long last) in a civilised manner, I think setting it at 99 topics would be reasonable, after that guests see the standard message, I will see if I can enhance the message as above

A forum is, as the definition say, a public meeting place for open discussion. It isn't only a place where people comes to takes information and download.

Thanks for the advice, probably I'll change with this message. However every Admin can choose his message, based on his forum type.

what about bots? do the bots get checked?

I assume they are registered users and are immune from the ext ?

Bots can see all posts like registered users. If you block posts to bots, your indexing fails.

agreed, so the ext will not interfere with bots

The way I see this ext, it will not effect people who google a subject and find your forum that way (a one off)

Many people put a question/ line of words into google, that points them to a topic on your forum, they get the answer and hopefully might want to come back to your forum but if not, nothing lost nothing gained, they got their answer and this ext won't get in their way. Good!

this ext targets the people whose interests coincide fairly exactly with the subject matter on your site & are just too lazy to Register on your forum :x and actually they just sit back and drink in all your information that is supplied :? by the people who HAVE made the effort, who have registered and have posted! I have seen this for too many years :|

Why haven't we ever seen a mod like this before?

It would be cool if there was a count down timer for the duration left before a member can view more topics. But maybe that's too much for the main purpose of this ext actually I don't know.

It's just that I've changed the message a little bit to be more 'Obvious', I'd add a screen shot here but can't add attachments in this forum! So for an example of the message (Where a count down could be added in place of 24hrs) please feel free to browse 3+ topics at http://www.corradog60.com/

This is pretty easy to get around. Simply ignore the cookies sent for the forum or delete them.

Fine idea for the precise configuration aimed.
On the other hand, it would be better:
- hidding the empty posts
- adding in the information message the number of hidden posts.

Just my two cents.

That's something I thought too Rich, but I think we'll have to depend on the fact that 'X' percent of users may not know how to go about it. Different per site of course, a more tech savvy related site will probably have everybody reading everything they want to :!:

Probably I'll add the countdown, with an ACP option to enable/disable it
