Mobile Friendly Themes?

Post by Swampcritter »

Is there a phpBB 3.2 theme that is mobile friendly and doesn't require the Tapatalk app to allow users to browse, click on links and actually use the phpBB sites? Most of my users are mobile based and cannot click on links using iPhones and such. They have to revert to the Tapatalk app and that thing just sucks entirely.

All approved 3.2 styles are responsive for mobile devices. Go to this site on your phone and see.

In fact, if you reduce the width of your browser on your desktop machine you will see the effects of 'responsive' straight away.

I am using the ne-blackgreen v3.2.0 for my site and the forum links don't work under iPhone at all. Feel free to test drive it and see what I mean. You have to login to see any of the links on the forum.

Tried to access the forum links once logged in with iPhone, using Chrome and Safari. Doesn't work.

Ditto & with iOS.

Does it work as it should using the default prosilver style? I would suggest that you have a local problem, browser etc. It works fine for me, have you got any complaints from users, if so, can you post them here please?

This is still the development site, so there are no 'actual' users at the moment.

I can login to the site fine w/ iPhone 6 using Chrome. However, after that point, when I try to select any of the links, it doesn't do anything except highlight the text (changes from green to grey or orange) as if its been clicked on, but doesn't actually open the link. I changed the style to the prosilver and it still does the same thing... no effect.

Is there something else you guys are doing that may be the cause of why its not working for me?

This is a screenshot of what it looks like when I touched the 'Board Index' link. It went from green to orange, but nothing else happened.

I'd be inclined to ask the question in styles support.

Can you navigate through all of the links? Also, see if you can see the 'post' I made under one of the links w/ the image as well. It might just be my iPhone when I try but I'll have others to test it out as well.
