Dropbox Photos, Google Photos and BBC Img

Post by SMP1977 » Wed Mar 22, 2017 10:08 pm

Hello all.

this may be simply one of the dumbest questions ever asked but...

Why can i not share photos in my dropbox or my google photos using the img bbc ? Doesn't matter what i do it always just displays the broken image icon.

And if i can how do i do it? this is really frustrating for something that seems so simple.

Is your dropbox accessible by the world internet? How about your Google photos?

Where would i look to see that? In each application i create or get a shareable link, but when i put that link into the bbc tags it just gives me a broken image thing? Do i need to tell DB or Goog Photos something else?

I order for an image to be visible using the [img] tag, it must be accessible on the internet. It must be on a server capable of being resolved by a DNS. I doubt that is true of your Dropbox. As for Google photos, let's have a link to one of those images.

You should be able to set your dropbox to 'private' or 'public' in the cPanel for your dropbox.
