SMF 2.0.14 to phpBB 3.2.x?

I see in the converters section, you only have a converter from 1.1.1 to phpBB.

I am not going to commit to converting my forum until I know there is a SIMPLE and foolproof option as I am a noob when it comes to the back end of forum admin, my other half dealt with the back end and I dealt with the front end when we ran our old forum.

I have set up a forum for a MOD for TESV:Skyrim, it's not my Mod but I'm helping the Mod Developer.

SMF seems to have very limited mods and styles that actually work with their current version without a LOT of bodging... so I'm looking at whether it's worth coming over to phpBB and whether it's easy to do so, and then whether you have the "mods" that I need.

Initially, is there a converter, or does it have to be done manually?

You'll most likely have to go about this in two steps. First we have a convertor that can convert your SMF 2.0.x install to phpBB 3.0, you can find it over here. Afterwards, you can use these relatively easy steps to upgrade your phpBB 3.0 install to the latest phpBB 3.2 version.
