The proof of the pudding is in the tasting.
Try it on a test copy (or a new test board).
BTW if it works on 3.3.9, that still no guarantee it will work on 3.3.10 (There's a change in syntax (twig?), can't find the topic ATM)
Spelling is freeware, which means you can use it for free.
On the other hand, it is not open source, which means you cannot change it or publish it in a modified form.
