Re: [3.2][DEV] Ticket Tracker

Post by Kailey »

If you would like to follow the progress, I just pushed a lot of it to the repo. IT IS STILL NOT FULLY FUNCTIONAL! You can install on a test board if you would like, but I won't be offering any type of support yet.

As a side note, the extension will make use of pagination (my first attempt ever). ;)

I already have this, long time ago. From 3.1 and now 3.2. Fully functional.

The latest push to the repo.

As stated before, not everything on this page works so use with caution.

Will it have the possibility to assign a Ticket to a specific user or group? Also ability for it to only be viewed by a certain group/groups?

That looks extremely promising!

Will it be possible to add attachments and screenshots to a ticket? :)

I know there's not much that can practically be done with it yet, from an end user's perspective, but just wanted to report that I downloaded it, installed and activated/deactivated it and all went smoothly on a test board with a lot of custom extensions.

I did get a feel for what will be possible in the Trackers section. Very cool!

This actually looks quite a lot like VicBug, the bug tracker that we used on phpBB.com until 2010 or so.

I've always liked its design and the features look very good on this as well. Nice job! :)

That's because most of the bits and pieces were taken from Internet Archive's Wayback Machine. :D

Certainly possible. Please note that the code is always changing and I've been making changes to make this extension better.
