It takes some time, but can be done :D

Was it so obvious we have the same language? ;) I'll watch it later this weekend.

Ah, now there you are expecting joined-up thinking and common sense from the EU Bureaucrats. I rather doubt they are capable of either.

On the language point, I'm lucky that my site is 98% targeted to USA/UK, with some Canada & Australia, visitors, so all the content is in English anyway (including the forums and policy terms). I don't have any other language files present.

are there any plans to add a feature to force guests while posting, that they have to accept the privacy policy (a link to it) with checking a checkbox and a small text like " [ ] i have read and accepted the privacy policy" or similar?

that would be great for those who allow guests in some subforums to post.

many thanks for your short reply if this feature is planned!

There is a feature to "force" all users to accept the policy before they can do anything else

There is no way to control guests in that way but you can control their access via permissions anyway

They’re probably spammers or bots so won’t care about the policy.

Has there been any thoughts regarding integrating or merging this plugin with the work being done by tas2580?

https://www.phpbb.de/community/viewtopi ... 9&t=241354
https://tas2580.net/downloads/phpbb-privacyprotection/
https://github.com/tas2580/privacyprotection

There is some useful functionality in both plugins that's not in the other, but both plugins create their own incompatible policy pages so don't really work together in a satisfactory way.

If these two plugins were merged it would make both stronger.

You can install your own test server on your PC following Knowledge Base - Installing and Setting Up Your Own Web Server and preview it for yourself.

Quick question: I would like to use this on my website which consists of a WordPress part with a phpBB forum. Currently I use Cookie Consent script on both parts. Since I do not want to have my visitors accept two different cookie scripts, is it possible to change the name of the cookie used in this ext? Or is it possible to disable to cookie part and just keep the privacy policy part active?

Thanks.

Hi there, this extension is exactly what I'm looking for, but unfortunately it doesn't work on my forum based on phpBB v3.2.2 with prosilver theme..
It doesn't even show up in the extension manager..

Any hope to see future updates working also with phpBB 3.2.2?

I regret to have installed the latest version of phpBB from the beginning, since I'm realizing that several useful extensions available don't work with phpBB 3.2.2..
But being a newbie regarding website/forum building (I started only 1 month ago) I didn't know the the current situation.
