Detailed description of the tasks:
We have a section of our phpBB forum that is used as a classified ads section where users post items for sale or trade and post requests for items they are looking to buy or trade. Most of it is automotive related with vehicle or parts for sale. We would like to make it easier for users to post items for sale and to search for items that are listed by category, keyword, make, year, model etc.
We are thinking the best way to do this would be to either:
Develop an extension that will change the interface of phpBB specifically for these classified ads rooms/sections of our phpBB forums, leaving the discussion rooms/sections as they currently are.
OR
Develop an extension or plugin that will port the existing posts and users to a wordpress classified ads theme such as Classipress where items for sale will be cross-posted (edits included and updated on both platforms) to both phpBB and wordpress. That way users can choose which way they would like to view and use the classified ads.

Any suggestions are welcome!
