Extension Name: Portal Board3 for phpBB 3.3.x
Author: Andr3wx86
Extension Description: THIS IS NOT MY ORIGINAL WORK. I have simply ported it to the latest phpBB 3.3.x. As can be seen on a site I am working on at the moment. I have included screenshots to verify this. I looked long and hard for a portal that is actually working but instead just decided to make this work for me. As I understand the original Board3 has long been abandoned, correct me if I'm wrong.

I hope this helps anyone that was in the same predicament as I was.

ORIGINAL WORK AND DETAILS ARE CONTAINED IN THE DOWLOADED FILE IF YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT ORIGINAL AUTHOR.

EDIT UPDATED NAME TO AVOID CONFUSION WITH ORIGINAL WORKS. This update recommended by a more senior member of this board then me. Happy to take that advice on board.

How do you make it display columns on both sides (and top and bottom) like in the screen shot? Nothing I do makes the top and bottom ones work at all, and I can either do left or right, not both. Otherwise this is perfect for what I need.

It’s all in the settings mate.

For the top most bar you have to add a module to the top, again that’s in the settings, if you need further clarity let me know mate.

Apparently you can either do one or the other, not both, which I guess isn't a huge deal because I can supplement with a different plugin to occupy the right side of the screen. Oh well.

I still can't help but wonder why the upper and lower columns don't work though. I wouldn't consider this a release candidate until those issues are resolved.

Have you added modules to those sections and purged cache?
