Main phpBB site menu system

Post by cdaters »

What is the menu system being used at the main phpBB site? It looks like a kind of MegaMenu system that is pretty tightly integrated into the forum and I am looking for something similar for what I am trying to build...

You'd have to write your own markup and CSS to get the mega menu style from it.

Just installed it, tested and works perfectly fine.
Need to modify your services.yml and tables.yml files.

When updating the tables.yml file, make sure to keep parameters: at the top as in the change requested it's not included.

Thanks

yes, my yml files have both been corrected. the error I get after updating the yml files is about no path to import
from this line in services.yml

Code: Select all

imports:
    - { resource: tables.yml }

Might be best to split this off to the relevant thread, since if a fix is still needed that would be the best place for it. ;)

Doesn't really do the same thing, though. The OP is after the humungous drop menus, not just a row of links. The other extension caters to drops by default. It would just need some presentation changes to turn it into something suitable.

Our posts were relevant since it’s an extension that does what was requested. Just heads up in case he decided to use it ;)

I am after something more like what is used by the main phpBB site as it seems to be pretty integrated with the phpBB codebase. I may have to Frankenstein some code from a menu system I use with Word Press sites and these other extensions to try and get something similar, though I am not savvy enough to have it be so integrated as that being used by the phpBB.com site. These other suggestions are interesting and I do appreciate the information. I will definitely check these out.
