You are not authorised to download this attachment.

Can you tell what you did, a new install with old attachments sounds a little strange?
Just a guess, is it because of this?

Not a new install. Was an upgrade.

Not that problem with FileZilla. Problems occurs on all users that use phpbb attachment feature. Other ways to include an image on the forum works ok.

Is this an Extension by any chance? says you have extensions installed.
What extensions are installed, maybe one that modifies the images like lightbox or something needs update?

Also, says you did a clean install.... i hope you retained the "files" folder. this is where all images and stuff are stored. also the folder "images" has ranks and avatars etc.

The attachment feature is not an extension. Is included in phpbb. I think 😐

I give two options in my question, so a answer with "yes" isn't correct.

you say it is not a filezilla problem but did you use filezilla to backup/restore the files folder?

if so, are you sure it was set correctly?
if not, did you make sure whatever ftp program you used was transferring in binary and not in ascii ?
