assign an old guest post to a known user ?

Post by secarica »

I have a forum where some posts were written at a time when no authentication was required. Then the authentication became mandatory and the former guest users have subscribed the usual way – and continued to post under their registered usernames.

For most antique guest posts the authors are known, so now I would like to assign each respective post to their registered usernames.

Is this possible ?

Using the i (for information) (on the right top of a post) there's a change author option (If you have the necessary permissions).
Spelling is freeware, which means you can use it for free.
On the other hand, it is not open source, which means you cannot change it or publish it in a modified form.
