Hi Mick, oh a typo. The correct spelling is ... (designation) ...

- Deutsche Zündwaren-Monopolgesellschaft

with a hyphen. Please see the links from warmweer.

I am not aware of a longer designation in the German language. Apart from the fact that there are very long designations for ministries and/or names.
  • Zündwaren-Monopolgesellschaft
    It is already unique, at least I think so.

When we type this designation in morse code, we actually get cramps in our index finger.

And I wonder which pilot and air traffic controller can spell this designation using the *pilot alphabet. After all, the pilot alphabet is in english.

Then I'd better play Monopoly and buy the Schlossallee. :lol:

Monopoly:

--> https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monopoly#Das_Spielfeld
--> shows
German basic version
Austrian basic version
Swiss basic version and
basic version in the USA

Monopoly makes *Victor India Echo Lima Sierra Papa Alfa Sierra Sierra. :D -> in deutscher Sprache: VIEL SPASS (Viel Spaß) ;)

I think there’s a longer one for a town name in Wales Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch (58 letters) meaning ”St Mary's Church in the hollow of the white hazel near the rapid whirlpool of Llandysilio of the red cave”

allegedly.

But I’m going off topic :o

What the WWW makes possible over time can never be off-topic in my personal estimation -->

Sir Timothy John Berners-Lee:
