I never understood the appeal of facebook for anybody. They sell your information and Mark Zuckerberg literally called the first people who signed up "dumb fucks." They also have a massive problem with scam ads, which they willfully allow since scammers are the customers and you are the product.

It's also a hotbed for misinformation for all ages. That being said, facebook in particular is not really very popular with my generation. (Not that other social networks are any better though) Many of my generation view it as a "boomer" network.

I don't know the numbers but my guess is that is silly to call facebook a boomer network. I just turned 71 so I am one of those "boomers" and everyone I know is a boomer. I don't know anyone that uses facebook very much if at all. I am the exception in that I make my living with computers and online and I do have a facebook account. However, I have never even ventured away from the marketplace on facebook.

Happy Birthday!

I'm an exception of my generation as well. With the exception of YouTube, the only social media accounts I have are forum (board) accounts like this one. Forums are better for discussions than vague social media platforms that have just random content.
