No one has ever dared to reply and ask me why I (phpBB Studio) have not yet submitted new versions of my extensions, that says a lot.
Probably because in the line of discussion, the public would expect you to volunteer that information.

But OK, ... mustering up the little courage I have (after all , it seems to be a dare ;-))...
Why have you not submitted new versions of your extensions?
Spelling is freeware, which means you can use it for free.
On the other hand, it is not open source, which means you cannot change it or publish it in a modified form.

That's already possible thanks to the Extension Development forums - but now and then an extension is submitted for validating without the existence of an extension development topic.

It's because 3Di doesn't agree with some of ways things are done

I think the fact there are a few 'former team members' who seem to be fed up says a lot, you would think that a former team member who creates as many extensions as 3Di does would probably have good ideas on how things can be improved going forward given the amount of hours he must spend on his extensions - but he seems reluctant to offer those up and that could be because as has already been posted in this topic - every suggestion is met with a 'this can't be done etc' It's hardly encouraging people to throw an idea in to the mix.

We need to learn from 3Di's knowledge before he retires.
Most of us will enjoy Christmas in the comfort of our own homes this year, however, sadly, that can't be said for people in the Ukraine who are suffering day after day, due to the Russian invasion.

If you would like to make a small donation to help Ukrainians in their time of need, you can donate to help all Ukrainians via BritishRedCross or you can donate to help the Ukrainian children via Unicef. 🇺🇦 Thank You 🇺🇦

Don't speak for me, I don't know you. Thank you. :ugeek:

I am sufficiently able to carry out my speeches alone.
Also, it seems to me that this topic is reserved for those who contribute in some way to the CDB, by the way.
So if you have ideas and are a contributor then speak up for yourself. :)

If you don't want to be specific, don't want people to ask you to clarify, and don't want them to guess what you mean either, then why did you mention it in the first place?

It seems like you generally assume everyone else is the enemy... but usually people just want to communicate openly, respectfully, and in good faith, y'know?

I think what 3Di is saying here is that they don’t like people analysing their posts even though they post things suggesting obvious subtext in such a way that almost begs for people to openly ask their opinion.

I think… 😂😂😂

Well six months down the road and nothing has changed other than reaching a new milestone - at least one extension reaching the grand old age of 100 - yes 100 days in the queue

Instead of contributing you've decided to point out a flaw that we're well aware of and frankly has no easy solution. You yourself actually became part of the problem by disappearing and not telling anyone so the fact that you continue to bring up the queue speed here and in other topics is very ironic.

I don't think there's any further discussion value in this topic since it's just going to now be a punching bag for the queue and against those that remain doing the job you decided to abandon without notice.
