Refreshed stale style templates - now everything looks like crap...

Post by indygrinder »

I don't know why, but I purged the cache and in the General > Load settings > Refresh stale style components.
And everything turned to crap... What happened?
How do I undo?
I made a database backup before doing this.

Can you link to the board please? I don't know what you mean by "looks like crap."

Try purging phpBB's cache on the main page of the ACP

What style changes did you make prior to purging the cache?

I suspect you made some style edits but only now purged cache. (haha, david63 was faster ;-))
Try putting back the original style files.
BTW without a link to your board, there's not much to go by.
Spelling is freeware, which means you can use it for free.
On the other hand, it is not open source, which means you cannot change it or publish it in a modified form.

I tried changing the block quote colours.
I dabbled with content.css and colours.css here: styles/prosilver/template/theme
But from what I know, I didn't upload the new files via FTP...

It's a private board, so I don't know if it makes much sense:

Put back the backup of the style files that you have changed, purge the cache and all should be well again.

Upload the full prosilver folder again?
Or only the files that I dabbled with?
Sorry, I'm not too good at this.

Btw, I use the proflat style as default, it inherits from prosilver. I don't think I've changed anything in the proflat folders, only in the prosilver theme folder.

Just restore the backup that you made from before the changes

https://mattiaspettersson.com/Sepe5/styles/prosilver/theme/stylesheet.css is returning a 404.

Delete the styles/prosilver folder and upload the one from the download.
