Yes, this is a problem with the Board3 Portal extension. You need to fix it like here meant: viewtopic.php?t=2631681

I updated the forum in the usual way, but now I have some issues with how the forum is presented afterwards. It currently looks like this:

https://www.nyurban.no/

Could it be a result of some plug-in not working with the new release? Or are there some other issues causing it? :|

Edit: I have disabled all plug-ins but that have not helped.

it looks like you have a custom style called "forumus" but apparently did not upload those files when you updated.

make sure you upload all your custom style files to the styles folder and then purge the cache and try again.

Apparently you were right. It works now. I had forgotten that I used a different style than standard.

I did my first update of a forum ever. Before I installed it, I disabled all my extensions. The update of the core files itself went smoothly thanks to the documentation. Then I activated the extensions one by one and see how the forum behaved after each activation. I had to make some adjustments to two extensions: Topic Tags and Advanced Polls. I found fixes for the Topic Tags extension here and for Advanced Polls in this post

Maybe the problem is due to your style since this one is for phpBB 3.3.3: https://www.nyurban.no/styles/forumus/style.cfg
Try with the Prosilver style which is up to date

It didn't work on the first update. It kept giving the error that the version is out of date. I cleared the cache and when I looked again and again the error persisted. After doing the same operations for the second time, the update was successful. Then I redid my edits in the kernel. I wonder if it's possible to write an extension on my own and make my changes in the kernel permanent? For example, I changed one line in index.php, added two lines in viewtopic.php etc.
