Youtube has changed username to @username

Am I wrong?

Youtube has changed the way he handles new usernames and it is @username
however in phpbb controlpanel where you add youtube address you can not add @

Also, on this site it’s asking for a minimum of 23 characters which isn’t right with ‘@‘ or not.

The field “YouTube” is too short, a minimum of 23 characters is required.

Bumpity. I just had someone notice that they could not add their Youtube channel to their profile.
I tested it myself, using their links to their channel, in two different formats.

Both of these are valid url's. I got the same same error message with both formats.

The field “YouTube” has invalid characters, only alphanumeric or _,-. characters are allowed and the first character must be alphabetic.

So, what does phpBB define as "alphanumeric"?
If phpBB is not going to allow / or @ in that profile field then Houston, we have a problem.
If phpBB does allow / or @ in the Youtube profile field, why is it giving this error message?

If you believe there is a bug in phpbb you should report it to the bug tracker.
