Topics and posts not appearing

I have ran the convertor to migrate data over to PHPBB 3.2 from SMF forum, there are 600,000 posts, 69,000 topics and 40,000 users and these have migrated over into the PHPBB database.

Issue is none of the posts are showing on the front-end of the new forum, it says 'This board has no forums' but in admin I can see 9 forums, what is the missing glue here? I don't know much about PHPBB so trying to learn on the fly.

Any directional help would be gratefully appreciated, what things should I be looking for?

Check that you have set permissions for people to see the forums.

permissions
group forum permissions
registered users
select all the forums (you might have to do 4-6 at a time to reduce the server load from the query)
standard access

That's a basic starting point.

Also check that everyone is inside the registered users group (except the anonymous account which is used by everyone who is not logged in - that should only be in the guest group).
Manage groups
Next to each group name it will say how many people are in each one.
