Perhaps if you shared the module you are trying to convert or explain what the module does/how it works?

Yes it is.
When you have a user that always come back and he behaves badly you can make his account miserable. So he will have latency, servers errors etc
You can inspect the code I gave to see more details

IIRC there was an extension (perhaps still is) that was designed to irritate selected members.
A quick search revealed nothing though.
Spelling is freeware, which means you can use it for free.
On the other hand, it is not open source, which means you cannot change it or publish it in a modified form.

Close, but no cigar. :D

There was a troll mod in development for 3.0.x (link, link), but it never got released in the CDB. However, with the advent of extensions, a development topic was started (link), but nothing ever came of it.

Honestly, I would like to see this one submitted to the CDB as it's been a popular topic each time someone starts to develop it.

YESSS, that was the one (even though it was before the age of extensions)

A quick glance at the 3.0 MOD code (I apparently had a copy lying around) shows that it should be possible to create an extension. There are events in the correct locations. I've moved this topic to our Extension Requests forum so it gets better visibility from the right community members.
