Username Change Unavailable in UCP (apparently)

Post by Aevik »

Have searched through the UCP on profile pages with no sign of a Username Change function.

Username changes can be set to 'Allowed' in the ACP
but this is not very useful without a username edit function in the UCP.

Otherwise members would need to contact Admin with a username request
and the Admin would need to change the username for them (manually).

UCP
Profile tab
Account settings

They can change the name there if they also type their password in

I have looked through every menu and submenu in the UCP
strangely it is simply not there.

Can you send a screenshot of the UCP/profile tab/settings -- Please.

It there if you have User registration settings> Allow username changes> set to yes

IMG_0253.jpeg

Then look in UCP> Profile> Edit account settings> Username

Set to no:

Set to yes:

Yes, they were already set to allow. But still no change function in sight.

Screenhot of browser translated ACP/General/Board Functions
Raum (Space) incorrectly translated as 'room'.

But that’s not a default phpBB page, a standard one looks like this:

Allow username change is at the bottom.
