Academia.Edu and Scribd.com BBCode

Post by orynider »

Hi,

There is any way to embed an Academia.edu or Scribd.com document into a post or any page were BBcode is enabled?

Would be something like this...

Code: Select all

[scribd id={NUMBER} key=key-{SIMPLETEXT1} mode={SIMPLETEXT2}][/scribd]
10x

There is an official extension for this but it currently only supports scribdb. You'd only have to paste the UR into a post and it's automatically converted. Works for a lot of other sites like Youtube. You can enable or disable whatever you want.

Looking at the academia.edu site it doesn't appear they provide any type of embed code so it's likely they are blocking iframes and other means to embed on third party sites.

There's a list of supported sites on the first page.

You could post in the support tab asking for the other site to be added.
