Problems converting from vb to phpbb

Strange, about 4 or 5 years ago I tried it, and it worked well for me (some details to polish but it worked for me).

I have made the firm decision to migrate from vbulletin to phpbb, and now, I use the same script and...always the same error:
If I have configured the server with php-fpm, the error that appears after a while of processing is:
"the server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. Please try again later."

And if I configure it to use php-cgi, then at the same point, the error it shows is:
"500 internal server error...."

I've searched the logs, there's nothing about it?!

I've been at it for 12 hours straight, and I'm not able to locate the problem.

I have increased resources in php, in everything...always the same error at the same point...

Any ideas?

The script indicates that it is for phpbb 3.0.11, it is the version that I am trying to convert (after the conversion from vb to phpbb 3.0.11 I would migrate phpbb 3.0.11 to the current version).

I have tested the PHP version with both 5.4 and 5.6, the same thing happens to me in both...

OK, the workflow is correct (and the versions).
The only thing I can suggest is to try using a different personal webserver (I'm assuming you're doing this on a personal webserver).

No, I am on a VPS with sufficient resources.
I have thought about vps, in the past, when it went well, I was on another vps but... I think... something has changed... let me explain:
Before trying to do the conversion, I did a very big "cleanup" on the vb forum, I eliminated 50% of the threads and 90% of the users and in that process, although the forum was operational, I uninstalled some plugins.
The initial database was 13.5GB after that "cleaning" it went to 1.5GB.
Since I've been doing it for more than 12 hours and haven't made any progress, I've decided to restore the original database, without any "cleaning", I've started a conversion again and...now it seems to continue, it's passed the point where It always stopped with the error.

If it works, it will take a few hours (I don't care, what I want is for it to work), if it works, I will post results here.

Just in case:
I don't know Vbulletin well, but if it has search tables, empty those and repopulate the search tables after the conversion (in fact even only after the upgrade to 3.3.11)

It is not the best solution and after a lot of research, I cannot find out what is happening, at least I have been able to continue or continue with the conversion, which I have done, for example, when the first 503 error appears, the url is this:
.../phpbb3/install/index.php?mode=convert&sub=in_progress&tag=vb4&current_table=9&skip_rows=267517&language=en
Since the configuration is 2,000 in 2,000, what I do is, I change the url to the rows that are in that moment and add 2,000 more, leaving the url like this:
.../phpbb3/install/index.php?mode=convert&sub=in_progress&tag=vb4&current_table=9&skip_rows=269517&language=en
I hit enter and follow its progress.
As I have found out this with the database without "cleaning" of junk posts that I will delete, it is a large database and it will take a lot of time.
I have had to do what is indicated, 3 or 4 times, now it goes, I estimate that for 60 or 70% and what is indicated, only 3 or 4 times.
If about 6,000 posts are lost, it doesn't worry me, they are almost certainly garbage and if there are any important ones, within the problem, it is a minor problem.
The important thing is that it then proceeds well, when I finish converting phpbb_posts, because in another test I saw that it gave a mysql error for some fields that it could not find in the original database, I have added them now.
I'll cross my fingers...
