Problem with changing cookie settings in Brave browser

Post by Bruce Banner »

The little "Cookie notice" circle beside "Enabled" is missing. This doesn't happen in Firefox, just in Brave. Don't know about Chrome, I don't use that.

How do you not see that you have the exact same issue I do?

Brave and Chrome are both based on Chromium, check it with Chrome.

That's really weird. But at least you're right. You don't have the problem. Unlike the first person who replied who does have the problem but can't see it.

Just tested with Opera, Brave, Edge, Chrome and FF on my boards (3.3.11) and various PHP versions and the issue is not present.
Spelling is freeware, which means you can use it for free.
On the other hand, it is not open source, which means you cannot change it or publish it in a modified form.

Does the Brave browser have an Inspect mode (right click) that might help debug why the browser isn't displaying things correctly?

Yep, it does. What should I copy and paste here?

It is currently enabled, correct? It's just not indicating it's set to enabled?

Can you set it to disabled and what happens if you set it to disabled? The reason I'm asking is SSL's is set to disabled.

For some weird reason, when I enable the cookie notice in Firefox, then delete the site's cookies from Firefox, and return to the site, the cookie notice appears as it should, but if I delete the site's cookies from Brave, and then return to the site there, the cookie notice doesn't appear.

Can you set it to disabled in Brave and if you can does the error go away?

I can set it to disabled in Brave but when I do, that doesn't change anything.

Hello,

The user agent stylesheet hides elements with the ID cookie_notice (#cookie_notice) because the shield for cookie consent banners is activated in the browser.

You can deactivate the shields on your domain by clicking on the icon to the right of the address bar.
This will allow you to display the radio input in the acp and the consent banner
