[SOLVED] Can't Upload Attachments

Post by swalker2001 »

I get errors when trying to upload images or other attachments. Images get

Code: Select all

The image file you tried to attach is invalid.
and other attachments get

Code: Select all

Temporary folder could not be found or is not writable.
This is a new install. I moved the old 3.3.7 installation to a new location running 3.3.11, updated the database and everything is working perfectly now except the attachments, at least as far as I can tell so far. PHP version is 7.2.34.

Wouldn't it be a problem of too little space allocated for attachments?

I have checked the attachment settings. They are at defaults (500 MiB total, 1MiB per).

I feel like if I could see the server error logs I could maybe figure it out but so far the host hasn't provided any logs.

Marking this solved. I realized we were on php v7.2 (old) so I switched us to 8.1 (the latest the web host has installed) and everything cleared up. Marking this solved.
