Can you support this advanced portal mode as a new version add-on?

Forget about that: Portal XL was a modification for phpBB 3.0.x and I doubt anyone will put time into transforming that to an extension (or even just as an add-on).

You're probably better off requesting an update/upgrade of phpBB SiteMaker
Spelling is freeware, which means you can use it for free.
On the other hand, it is not open source, which means you cannot change it or publish it in a modified form.

Great and ty, i have it working, just one thing i noticed now , when i use a cell phone to go to my site with the portal its all messed up looking, looks fine on desktop pc, is there a way to fix it for cell phone/tablet users that you know of ?
