Were you able to fix this? I can see your board just fine.

EDIT: Oh, I see. Some topics show a SQL error, others report "the requested topic does not exist".

The backup may be incomplete and I'd urge you to contact your host if they offer any backup service with your hosting plan, see if they have backup from before the unwanted deletions. I'm mentioning this first because time is of the essence, they usually have only one that is made every few days and the old one deleted so it's very limited backup.

You can check if your backup is incomplete by opening it with notepad or some other text editor, notepad is really good for opening large text files. Search the file for INSERT INTO phpbb_zebra, note that phpbb_ is the default prefix for tables but yours may be different. That should be found at the end of the file if it's complete.

That said what is likely happening is you are hitting the php execution tine limit. If the file is complete consult your hosts documentation on increasing this temporarily in the php.ini. The specific directive is max_execution_time

A little bit of advice, with a larger forum you should be using SSH for creating and restoring backups. It's the most reliable method and the issue with php limits are non issue.

That would be Notepad ++ (not the notepad.exe that comes with Windows)

For really large text files, even Notepad++ may not be able to load those files completely. (but software capable of reading and editing really large files can easily be found, free or proprietary.
Spelling is freeware, which means you can use it for free.
On the other hand, it is not open source, which means you cannot change it or publish it in a modified form.

This from the web host:
There's not much I can help with at this point. Your best bet is to restore the database backup. I do not have access to the server. If it's on the same server, LDL was never installed with c-panel, but is just an AWS instance.
If there is anything else I can try, will appreciate.
Keep in mind I am a novice, especially when it comes to administrating

I stand corrected: notepad does open large files without problems (but editing large txt files is a PITA).

If you intend to use notepad just make sure you use it to view only and not edit or save.
