Regarding the "smilie scroll box" extension it is now compatible, you can download the files (Smilies-Scrollbox.zip) from this link

After installing the extension, upload the new file to the root folder.
Regarding the spaces, This area is divided into columns as in the attached image so that all data is in the same alignment.
The last column which is slightly wider than the other columns in anticipation of any large data so that wrap does not occur.
Don't worry, it's not an issue you will find in all themes.
We will consider whether it is possible to reduce this space a little or not.
