Is there a way to make Forums, Categories and subcatogories fastert than ACP?

It is a real struggle to make all the categories through ACP, it is slo slow and i have do one and one.

Is there a way i can just edit a config file, or something like that, to make this a lot easier? I hate GUI's, lol

How many categories are you making? People starting out often make too many categories and/or forums which results in a lot of difficulty navigating and presents perhaps lots of empty forums. One thing that helps is you can copy the permissions of one category from those of another.

It is not many, but i want to try to set it up, see how it looks, then change it, and make it good. But when it is this slow and tedious, there must be a better way...

Not really.
It takes less than a minute to make a forum. And it's something you only do once so it doesn't need to be super speedy.

As KevC mentioned: it's not the creation of Categories/Forums/Subforums that is tedious. It's the configuration of the permissions that requires some thinking through. But there are default (preconfigured) permission roles and you can make new permission roles tailored to your needs/wants so instead of setting individual permissions for each group/forum, the permission roles can be used to assign group permissions to a selection of forums.
