Is it possible to draw up a ranking of the most active users?

Post by Harrison76 »

HI,
if I wanted to make a ranking of the most active users, how could I do it? The simplest method would be to look at the posts written, but it is possible that a user wrote them up until last year and hasn't connected to the platform for a year, so it doesn't apply. Is there a way to understand who is more regular, i.e. who logs in and writes more often?
Thank you

From what I understand, you're looking for some kind of way to see the 'top posters' of a given period, is that correct? If so this is more of an extension related question rather than phpBB support as such.

Does the member list search do what you're expecting at all? It's not as detailed but using the 'Find a member' option, you can use various search parameters including listing users by post count with activity after a certain date.

sorry, but how do you filter after a certain date from the link you gave me?
I would like to make a sort of ranking of the users but based on the regularity with which they write on the forum, not just on the total posts, perhaps excluding those who have not written for a long time
Thank you

It definitely sounds like you're after an extension then.

Go to the member list using the link I posted above and click on the Find a member link in the alphabetical filter bar. It'll open up some advanced search options for users.

damn, I didn't realize that text was clickable: you can also get there with this direct link
memberlist.php?mode=searchuser
I'll do some testing now, but I think this feature will help me a lot
Thank you

Don't feel bad, I never noticed that was link. As side note in case you are unaware the headings on the list are also clickable.
