A simple solution would be to have an extension that would change certain forum view permissions to No for certain groups during specific times.

Just a thought :?:

No is NEVER an Option and NEVER is the only Option when it comes to Giving Up!

It is practically impossible to close this manually every day. We have an extremely busy forum and on our forum every message must be read and answered. Our ages vary greatly and some users are online 24/24. This is the only solution to give the entire team a bit of peace
I've never heard of a site that closes or has operating hours, please don't do that. Make the forum "read only" if you must after 11pm but this might anger members and make things feel unaccessible. Then again, I don't know anything about your members or site. Could you share your forum's URL with us?

The link is in my profile, but it is a protected forum. You cannot simply become a 'member'. Everyone must pass a strict selection procedure

Apparently you can't mark this topic as solved yourself?

danieltj wrote an extension in consultation with me. Thank you very much for that. The extension is already active!

Click the first post and set the post icon to check mark but someone already did it.

I have searched for this many times, but there are no topic icons visible.

My mistake I guess, if you don't seem them only moderators have that option. You can always report your first post to have it marked as solved with check mark or edit the title with [solved].
