I think the OP got nuked entirely. Perhaps they were a spammer.

I was really confused for a second because I know I didn't start the topic!

I'm going to assume that the real OP tried to start a forum and found out in fact that they could not make money from their forum...

That would not explain how all their posts disappeared though.

I doubt the team would just delete all posts on request.

All posts are removed/deleted if it's determined to be spammer. Looking at the logs it would appear the OP was still in NRU and edited the post after two weeks with spam link but that gets bounced to moderation queue. Disapproved and *poof* goes the post since there is no revision history.
