3.3.13 Support php 8.1 ?

Post by mrix2000 »

Can anyone confirm that PHP 8.1 works with the latest 3.3.13 ?
If it does when I apply it I get a 500 white screen :? However PHP 8.0 works fine :?

This looks like an extension that doesn't support PHP 8.1

3.3.13 works fine with PHP 8.0, 8.1, 8.2 and 8.3 (no 3.3.13 board with PHP 7.4 as yet but it should be OK)
Spelling is freeware, which means you can use it for free.
On the other hand, it is not open source, which means you cannot change it or publish it in a modified form.

Hello and thanks for the feedback, as the software does support it I can now only assume it is one of my extensions causing the issue pointed out by ssl.
Right will need to enable and disable to see which is causing the problem.

This is a strange one, I have disabled all the EXT`s I have then checked by applying PHP 8.1 and I get a 500 error :?
I then thought it might be my custom style so I changed to the default style Prosilver to find I still get a 500 error :?
Any other idea`s / options I could try ?
Thanks all

If the extensions are all disabled, the prosilver style enabled and the error persists there is nothing to look for other than a corrupt file during the update procedure to phpBB 3.3.13
The best is to resume this update using the complete pack

Can you post the last 10 lines or so of the server's error log? If you don't have access to this, your hosting provider should be able to give you this information.

Bound to fail: you're requesting http but you're using https (and apparently there's no redirect from http to https)
