However If you check the main index page also its showing a lot of errors related to mbstring

Have you tried to select another php version from inside cpanel? You should have 8.2 and 8.3. Give it a try and see. phpBB should run with php 8.3 in case if you select php 8.3.

In according to the PHP settings listed above, error log should be here /home/mrixadve/logs/mrixadvertising_co_uk.php.error.log.
Also mbstring is not listed amongst enabled modules.

Indeed it does not contain mbstring so the errors because of mbstring are evident.

If you can't enable mbstring yourself within the php options/extensions (if available like with Cloudlinux) you have to ask your host to install it.

I decided to get onto the Host support and explained about the mbstring error displayed on the index page and while they were looking into it they noticed the version of mbstring was for php8.0 or lower, they have now added the version that works with php 8.1 onwards so now my test site and live forum are both running on PHP 8.3 :D 8-)
