Send Private message to a group

Good evening,
I have created a special group, it is allowed to send private messages to several members.
How can I send a private message to all members of the group ?
If I add the group name to the message recipients I get "The member you want to add does not exist."

Do you have the option Group able to receive private messages: enabled for that Group in their settings ??

The setting referred to by Mannix is under Users & Group tab >> Manage groups link on left, click the settings for the group.

The group also needs permission to send, permissions tab >> under the global permissions heading click the groups permissions link. Select a group and adjust the user permissions. Ideally create a new role and apply that .

If permissions are set correctly in the new PM panel there will be a pane to select groups to the right of recipient pane.

I think the permissions are OK : YES for

• Can send private messages.
• Can send private messages to multiple members.
• Can send private messages to groups.
• Can read their private messages.

but I don't see the pane to select groups when I write a new message

You need to check Group able to receive private messages in the group's settings

Make sure another group you belong too including registered users doesn't have that permission set to never.

Beta testeurs
Utilisateurs confirmés (more than 20 messages)
the last one could never send private messages to groups, I changed it to YES, it works, many thanks.
