Images displayed as [img] only on post, but works on preview

Hi,

I hope everyone is doing well.

I have an issue, my forum on preview display correctly the img code, and display the image correctly,
but when i go to preview or post the image, the forum displays as {img}{/img} only and set it as link.

I already tried:

disabling all ext
enabling attachments
set image sizes on any part of ACP allow but have no success.

Other bb code works fine, even yt videos or something like that.

i tried images from my own host, externals but from anyplace the issue remains.

my phpBB version is 3.3.1 latest

theme its disabled, extension of the theme is disabled, also all extensions are disabled.
its a brand new forum. what should i exactly ask to who? because the forum its completely clean.


the url displayed is just the local path.
if i try with any other url, issue remains. with all disabled.

Does the link being shown work, when this issue is happening and literally displays [img]ext/planetstyles/flightdeck/store/MRELogoBF.png[/img] as a link instead of displaying the actual image? Or does clicking on the link it renders also fail to successfully display the image?

One thing which comes to mind is that it seems like "ext/planetstyles/flightdeck/store/MRELogoBF.png" is a URL which expected to always be relative to the root of the web site. Maybe the base URL of the page you're viewing is considered to be something other than the root of the web site, on the pages where this doesn't display as expected.

As a test, if instead you give it a non-relative URL between your [img] tags, such as even just "/ext/planetstyles/flightdeck/store/MRELogoBF.png" or fully qualified like "https://mysite.com/ext/planetstyles/fli ... LogoBF.png", does this change anything about the issue?

Probably im explaining wrong, any image, from any source, face same issue:

As you can see, is not displayed neither, in fact is marked as link not as image, ignoring completely the [img] bb code tag, that could lead discard that the issue is tied to an extension or at least flight deck extension.
but as i mentioned before, theres nothing active now, the forum its brand new
*bbcode is also enabled, work for everything except image posting, additionally, on the preview editor, image its actually displayed, but on the final post or the preview outsideof the edition box it doesnt.

Just deleted the extension completely, even from the server.

Issue remains.

But the person who knows most about those files in the extension is the person who wrote it. We didn't make that.

theyre removed it doesnt matter who knows more about that extension, is not on the server anymore, and issue remains.
