Banner/Logo Size

Sorry, I know this is a common topic but every other post I've reviewed gets me about 60% of the way there but not to the finish line.

I'd like to have a banner/header similar to this site - where it stretches across the top. What are the dimension in px that I need for this, or is there a way to auto width/height?

Thanks, I tried that extension but it seems to not help with what I'm trying to achieve. Could it be that the pixel size of the original image just isn't compatible, or should the extension handle that?

The extension should handle any size of the image. What is the image in question? Post it here or give as a link to it.

Here is the image. When I use the extension, it puts the logo over the forums/text.

Not sure what you mean by puts logo over forum//text. But you should ask for help in the support section of the extension I'm sure the author will be able to help you. If not we can always go with custom coding

Thanks, I went to their support forum on your advice and was looking at similar topics - I believe the issue was that I didn't have prosilver set to default (I thought I did, but I did not).
